Media Advisory: Meet “Miss Rosey”, the new KPB’s CES pink fire truck reminding people of the Kenai Peninsula that cancer screening saves lives

What: KPB’s Central Emergency Services will unveil a pink fire truck, “Miss Rosey”, this weekend at the Surviving and Thriving Through Cancer Well-Being Fair. Miss Rosey is part of a cancer awareness campaign launched through a partnership between Aurora Integrated Oncology Foundation, Central Emergency Services and the Kenai Peninsula Borough and is intended to raise awareness about the importance of screening for prevention of all types of cancers. Other highlights of the fair include live entertainment, healthy catering, a mocktail bar, integrative therapies and activities, prize drawings, and gifts for survivors focused on promoting physical, emotional and mental well-being.

When: Saturday, Sept. 28, 11 a.m. – 2 p.m.

Where: River Tower at the Central Peninsula Hospital, 250 Hospital Pl, Soldotna, AK
