Jake Yako, Dedicated Onsite Support (AROC/MSVCC/PROC/SROC)
Meet Jake, dedicated onsite IT support for CSPIRE/RBS/AIOF since April 2025. From leading major technology upgrades to resolving critical system outages in minutes, Jake’s behind-the-scenes expertise keeps our centers running smoothly. His passion for technology and commitment to service make him an invaluable part of our team.
Jake joined CSPIRE/RBS/AIOF in April 2025 as dedicated onsite IT support. He provides technology support across all four AIOF centers and regularly travels to AROC, MSVCC, and PROC to ensure systems run smoothly.
Since joining the organization, Jake has played a key role in five to six major technology upgrades. His approach is rooted in accessibility and responsiveness—he understands the importance of being reachable and takes pride in supporting staff whenever needs arise.

Jake’s interest in technology began at a young age, inspired by innovations in gaming and computer modding. He built his first computer using money from his PFD, guided by a mentor who introduced him to computer technology.
While working in Atlanta, Georgia, for the Department of Labor, Jake became familiar with an IT team in the same building. When his position ended, he transitioned directly into IT—a turning point that launched a career he finds both challenging and rewarding. He has never looked back and especially enjoys software development.
Jake and his wife, Alice, have been together for 13 years and were married in November 2023. They are eagerly awaiting the arrival of their first child. They also share their home with Pyrrha, a Pomeranian–Australian Shepherd mix whose name means “Goddess of Fire” in ancient Greek. In his free time, Jake enjoys computer gaming and drawing. Together, he and Alice love hiking.
The couple relocated to Alaska after a visit to meet family, where Alice quickly fell in love with the state. Taking a leap of faith after their remote jobs ended, they moved north, and Jake’s first position in Alaska was with the Port. When he learned about the opportunity with CSPIRE/RBS/AIOF, he was drawn to the mission-driven nature of the work and knew it was a meaningful fit.
Jake’s behind-the-scenes impact is felt every day. Recently, a power surge at AROC caused a complete system outage, including treatment software. Jake resolved the issue within 10 minutes, minimizing disruption. While much of his work happens quietly in the background, his dedication and expertise are essential to keeping operations running smoothly.
